The reefs off of Newport, Rhode Island are abundant with a variety of fish providing a reel screaming - rod bending experience on light tackle.

In May, striped bass and blackfish arrive. Right behind them come bluefish and the big fluke. As   the water gets warmer, blue sharks gather to feed on the bluefish and the small tuna. We also have an excellent scup (porgy) and black sea bass fishery.
